How it works
Exchange mail server from Microsoft is the Industry standard mail and collaboration tool used by 90% of all business on the planet. It allows you to share (or not) all your outlook data with anyone. Exchange allows you to have your cell phone/pda connect to your mailbox and sync your data as soon as it is changed. For example, if your secreatary updates your calendar, your phone will immediately get the updated information and give a notification telling you you have a new appointment. In fact, all outlook data including contacts and email are sent to your phone as well. And if you're away from the office, you can use any Internet connected computer to log into your webmail (like Hotmail) and see your information.
In the office and/or at home, you can connect your computer and Outlook 2003 via the Internet to your exchange server and open shared calendars, contacts etc and make changes for all to see. In fact, you can have one computer at home, one at the office and another laptop for travel, all connecting to the same Exchange server data, and all keeping a local copy all up to date, so when one changes they all reflect the change. No more trying to sync calendars and outlook data by hand For example if your secretary manages serveral business partner calendars, she can open them all up in one screen and make changes which then are immediately seen by the calendar owners and this data is then replicated to the owner's cell phone/pda and home computers and laptops. This type of setup is preferred by lawyers, doctors and most business owners.
How to get started
We need to start your monthly retainer fee of $400. Then we will build your server, install your software and configure or buy your domain name for email under your business name and address. And if you have a current domain name, we will make several small DNS and MX changes including a second offsite Mail backup server in case your server ever goes down. From there, we will either remote into your computer or come onsite to setup the computers, phones and laptops to connect to your new Exchange server. That's it. You can be up and running in as little as one day.
